LighTalk - Scanning LED Message Wand
This thing really is a bit nifty.
The LighTalk ("light talk") is a new gadget from Japan which scans then displays your own messages or doodles in lights!
Use a regular black marker pen to draw your message or design onto a sheet of white paper.
Next, switch the LighTalk into "scan" mode, and slowly move scanning area of the wand across your drawing from left to right - taking around 15 seconds, while the sensors take a scan of the image you created.
Then move the switch into display mode, swing the LighTalk wand, and the image you just scanned will display in "mid air".
Think about it, this could be your big break:
- Doodle a picture of a little house and scan it
- Be signed up for an installation in the Tate Modern consisting of you waving the LightTalk about to the music of Autechre as a misguided comment on post-modernist Britain
- Become the talk of London
- Meet Damien Hirst
- Slap Damien Hirst
or failing that scan a swear word and shake it at your mate

If you have no pens, this could be construed as pointless
"Why is it cool?"
You'll be doodling for hours
