It does everything that a normal lighter would do (you know... lighting things and the like), but is just bigger when it does it.
Why is it pointless?
It doesn't fit in your pocket, scary to use and almost impossible to do that cool flicking open thing with.
Why is it cool?
You can really confuse people's sense of perspective with it.
