Imagine a world where every flat shiny surface can pump out your favourite tunes and you'll immediately grasp the potentially of the innovative SoundBug.
Using the suction cup on the bottom of this mouse-sized gizmo you can stick the SoundBug to any hard, flat surface - such as a window, desk, car windscreen etc. You then just plug the SoundBugs lead into your noise maker of choice, be it MP3 player, CD or whatever, and hey-presto: The flat surface starts radiating sound like a loud speaker.
Whilst the more pointless amongst you will immediately see the potential the Soundbug has for convincing your Nan that her welsh-dresser is haunted (try BBC sound effects recordings), the SoundBug is also a pretty practical alternative to earphones or portable speakers.
One SoundBug can deliver about 75 dBm peak, with quality varying depending on your flat surface of choice. You can though also hook up 2 SoundBugs to provide stereo sound and more music power.
One particularly cool feature of the SoundBug is that if you stick it to a window or similar the sound will emenate from BOTH sides. So just stick the SoundBug to an outside window and listen to music in the garden.
Why is it pointless?
You could drive taxi-drivers mad by sticking a SoundBug to the glass partition
