The Magic Wheel

The Magic Wheel (OK the name might need some working on!) is basically a hybrid of a unicycle and scooter, but without all the nut crunching and constant getting back on the saddle - though this is probably more due to the lack of said saddle.

Consisting of a 26 inch wheel and a supporting smaller rear caster, the Magic Wheel is turned by leaning and powered by the same fashion as a skateboard / scooter. You stand on the two foot plates; one either side of the wheel and built into the protective wheel housing and push with whatever foot you want, whilst using the housing to support your other leg.

The videos show that the Magic Wheel glides smoothly and can maintain some speed, probably due to the low rolling resistance offered by the large wheel.

It looks pretty swish too!
